The Department of Public Works announced today that 100 Acres Drive between Corrigan Drive and Twin Hills Road in Bethel Park has reopened to traffic.
That section of the road, which is within the county’s South Park, has been closed since August 23, 2018 for the replacement of Catfish Run Bridge No. 10. The work included replacement of a stone masonry arch culvert with a new pre-cast concrete box culvert and wingwalls, roadway reconstruction, as well as installation of scour protection, storm drains, and guiderail.
The work was done by Pugliano Construction of Plum as part of the 2018 Capital Bridge Repair Project, which is a $2.2 million contract to address four structurally-deficient bridges throughout the county.
