PennDOT District 11 is announcing bridge inspection activities on the I-79 Neville Island Bridge in Neville and Robinson townships, and Glenfield Borough, Allegheny County, will begin Monday, September 17 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will occur on the Neville Island Bridge and associated ramps on I-79 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day according to the following schedule:

  • Monday and Tuesday – September 17-18 and September 24-25 – northbound direction
  • Wednesday and Thursday – September 19-20 and September 26-27 – southbound direction

No work will occur on Fridays.  At least one lane on I-79 and all ramps will remain open.

Crews from SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc. will conduct the inspection work.
