PennDOT District 11 is rehabilitation work on the Abers Creek Road bridge over Abers Creek in the Municipality of Monroeville, Allegheny County will begin Monday, July 9 weather permitting.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, bridge rehabilitation work including deck replacement, parapet upgrades, and spall repairs will occur on this structure which is part of a $2.03 million local bridge rehabilitation contract. To allow the work to occur, Abers Creek Road will close to thru-traffic between Northern Pike and Saunders Station Road through mid-September. Motorists will use Cavitt Road and Alpine Village Drive as a detour route.
Crews from Pugliano Construction will conduct the work.
