Overnight Closures on the Rachel Carson Bridge Have Ended
The Department of Public Works announced today that the Andy Warhol (Seventh Street) Bridge will close from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday-Thursday nights – except during inclement weather and nearby special events – starting on Monday, April 24, 2023. The overnight closures, which are expected to last at least three months, are required for installation of enhanced lighting.

Traffic during closures on the Andy Warhol Bridge will be detoured using Fort Duquesne Boulevard, the Rachel Carson (Ninth Street) Bridge, and Isabella Street. One sidewalk will remain open to pedestrians while work is occurring.
Overnight closures on the Rachel Carson Bridge for installation of enhanced lighting have ended. Installation of enhanced lighting on the Roberto Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge will occur later this year. The Roberto Clemente Bridge is currently closed for rehabilitation work, and it is not expected to reopen until December 2023.
