PennDOT District 11 is announcing roadway improvement work on Route 18 (Frankfort Road) in Hanover and Raccoon townships, Beaver County will begin Monday, June 1 weather permitting.

Single-lane alternating traffic will occur as needed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weeknights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through late November on Frankfort Road between Weber Road and Bocktown Road. Weekend work will occur.

Additional roadways on the group paving contract include: 

  • Route 168 between Pine Street and Route 30.  Work will begin on Wednesday, June 3
  • Route 30 between Route 168 and Route 18 (A start date has not been determined yet).

Improvement work includes milling and paving, drainage upgrades, guide rail improvements, line painting, and other various construction related activities.

The project is part of a $2.95 million three-road group paving job in Beaver County.  A. Liberoni, Inc. is the prime contractor.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 950 traffic cameras.
