PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection activities on the Fort Duquesne Bridge (I-279) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will begin Wednesday, May 11 weather permitting.

Lane restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day according to the following schedule: 

  • Northbound – Wednesday through Friday, May 11-13
  • Southbound – Monday through Thursday, May 23-26

Crews from Gannett Fleming will conduct the routine inspections.

Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns. Please use caution when driving through the area.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
