The Department of Public Works announced today that Crawford Run Road and its sidewalk will close near Meadow Avenue in East Deer starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023. The closure, which is expected to end in November, is required for repairs to Clarks Run Bridge No. 1, including removal and replacement of an outlet wall and installation of two inlets, scour protection, new pavement, concrete curb, sidewalk, guide rail, and pavement markings.
Traffic will be detoured using Butler Logan Road, Russelton Road, Baileys Run Road, and Freeport Road. Residents living at and near the closure area will have access to their homes at all times.
The project will be done by Pugliano Construction Company, Inc., of Plum as part of a $2.6 million 2023 Capital Bridges contract.
