The Department of Public Works announced today that Lincoln Road between Oakwood Road/Vine Street and Verona Road in Penn Hills will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023. The closure, which is expected to end in November, is required for rehabilitation of Sandy Creek Bridge No. 7, including new pavement, scour protection, pavement markings, and guide rail.
Cars will be detoured using Vine Street, Aber Road, and Verona Road, and trucks will be detoured using Nadine Road, Allegheny River Boulevard, Sandy Creek Road, and Verona Road. Residents living near the closure area will have access to their homes at all times.
The project will be done by Pugliano Construction Company, Inc., of Plum as part of a $2.6 million 2023 Capital Bridges contract.
