The Department of Public Works announced today that the 1300 block of Old Freeport Road will close in O’Hara Township starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022. The closure, which is expected to end in November 2022, is required for replacement of Squaw Run Bridge No. 7, including new pavement, guide rail, pavement markings, and signage.
Traffic will be detoured using Freeport Road.
All of the businesses located on Old Freeport Road will be accessible during the project.
The work will be done by Pugliano Construction Co., Inc., of Pittsburgh as part of the $1.7 million 2021 Capital Bridges contract.
