Continuing to prove its value to Pittsburgh commuters, RideACTA saw a 4% increase in ridership and added eight new stops over the past year.  The shared-ride, flex-route service that transports people between the Super Stop at IKEA and nearly 250+ businesses, provided 82,000 rides during its 2017-2018 fiscal year.  That equates to:

  • 41,000 cars off of the road
  • 2,788,000 vehicle miles saved
  • 112,000 gallons of gasoline saved
  • 27,000 tons of CO2 saved

Since its first year of service in 2009, RideACTA has provided over 615,000 rides and seen an overall increase in annual ridership of 73%.  It also continues to add new locations and businesses to its list of stops.  New locations added this year included Microtel Inn & Suites, At Home, Drury Inn & Suites, Stout Pub and Kitchen, Printscape Imaging & Graphics, David’s Bridal, Pool City and Dollar Tree.  RideACTA now serves over 250 locations in the service area.
