PennDOT District 11 is reminding motorists improvement work on Route 50 (Washington Avenue) in Carnegie Borough, Allegheny County will begin Wednesday, August 16 weather permitting.
Concrete patching, saw cutting, joint sealing, and other miscellaneous construction activities requiring single-lane alternating traffic on Route 50 will occur through late October according to the following schedule:
- Monday through Friday – 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Saturday from 7 a.m. continuously through 6 a.m. Monday
Noise restrictions will be in place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday nights. Overnight work will be limited to less disruptive operations.
Work on this $1.2 million project will occur on Route 50 between Boden Avenue and East Main Street. Initial work will begin between Boden Avenue and Franklin Avenue.
Please use caution while traveling through the work zone. Flaggers will assist motorists through the construction area.
Gulisek Construction is the prime contractor.
