PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on Route 19 (Washington Road) in Upper St. Clair Township, Allegheny County, will occur Friday night through Monday morning, August 23-26 weather permitting.

Crews will conduct concrete shoulder repair requiring a single-lane restriction on Route 19 in the following locations: 

  • Southbound – From Boyce Road to Washington County
  • Northbound – From South Highland Drive to McMurray Road

Work will occur from 7 p.m. Friday night continuously through 6 a.m. Monday morning.  A single 10-foot wide lane will be maintained in each direction.

The work is part of the $5.55 million project to improve 2.5 miles of Route 19. Other work on the project includes concrete patching, shoulder repairs, base repairs, drainage and guide rail upgrades, ADA curb ramp improvements, signal updates, and sign and pavement marking installation.

The prime contractor is A. Folino Construction, Inc. from Oakmont, PA. The overall project is anticipated to be completed in November 2019.
