PennDOT District 11 is announcing slide remediation work on Indiana Road (Route 2070) in the Municipality of Penn Hills, Allegheny County will begin on Monday, May 4 weather permitting.
Indiana Road will close to traffic at approximately 7 a.m. Monday continuously through late July as crews begin slide remediation work. The closure will occur between Hulton Road and Hamil Road. All traffic will be detoured via Hamil Road and Hulton Road.
Slide remediation and other miscellaneous construction work will occur on this $1.97 million contract which includes two other slide remediation projects. The overall project will conclude in mid-November 2020. Plum Contracting, Inc. is the prime contractor.
Motorists are advised to use caution, allow extra time, and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area.
