PennDOT District 11 is announcing improvement work on Route 251 (Shenango Road, Oakville Road, 37th Street) in Chippewa Township, West Mayfield Borough, and the City of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, will begin Tuesday, August 20 weather permitting.
Single-lane alternating traffic will occur weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Route 51 in Chippewa Township and 5th Avenue in the City of Beaver Falls through late October. Weekend work may occur.
Crews will conduct milling and paving, base repairs, sign improvements, shoulder repairs, pavement marking installation, seeding and mulching, and other miscellaneous construction activities.
The work is part of a $2.29 million group paving contract. Lindy Paving is the prime contractor.
