PennDOT District 11 is announcing replacement work on the New Galilee Road (Route 4005) bridge over the north branch of the Little Beaver Creek in Darlington Township, Beaver County, will begin Monday, July 8 weather permitting.

Bridge replacement work begins at approximately 7 a.m. Monday on New Galilee Road between Haney Road and Edgewater Drive.  New Galilee Road will close to traffic at the bridge continuously through early November. Traffic will be detoured.

South of the Bridge

  • From New Galilee Road, take Route 168 (Elmwood Boulevard) northbound
  • Turn left onto westbound Route 351 (Monroe Street)
  • Follow Route 351 back to New Galilee Road
  • End detour

North of the Bridge

  • Same detour in opposite direction

Allison Park Contractors will conduct the work on this $1.41 million project which also includes concrete repair, scour protection, and approach roadway work.
