PennDOT District 11 is reminding motorists that a portion of Reis Run Road (Route 4022) in Ross Township, Allegheny County, remains closed to traffic due to a slide.
Reis Run Road remains closed in both directions between Rochester Road and Arndt Road due to a landslide from private property. Local traffic will be permitted to the slide. All other traffic will be detoured.
East of the slide
- Follow Reis Run Road to Rochester Road
- Take Rochester Road northbound back to Reis Run Road
- End detour
West of the slide
- Same detour in the opposite direction
PennDOT geotechnical engineers are currently monitoring the site as the hillside continues to move. In the interest of public safety, the department will keep the roadway closed until further notice.
The roadway closed on May 31st.
