PennDOT District 11 is announcing rehabilitation work on the Route 910 bridge over Deer Creek in West Deer Township, Allegheny County, will begin Tuesday, July 6 weather permitting.
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, bridge rehabilitation work will begin on Route 910 between Middle Road and Oak Road. In the first phase of the project, work will occur in half widths on the bridge with a single 13 ½ foot-wide lane controlled by temporary traffic signals. During this phase trucks will be detoured via Cedar Ridge Road and Middle Road.
During the second phase of the project, bi-directional traffic will be maintained on the bridge, however, the intersection with Middle Road Extension will be closed. A temporary roadway will be constructed to access the roadway. Additional details will be provided in advance of the second phase.
Work will include concrete deck replacement, substructure repairs, scour protection, approach roadway pavement reconstruction, drainage repairs, guide rail upgrades, and pavement marking installation.
