The Department of Public Works announced today that work on Brandt School Road between West Ingomar Road and Wexford Bayne Road in Franklin Park Borough will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020. The work, which is expected to last until September 2020, includes drainage repairs; concrete pavement rehabilitation; base repairs; milling and paving; curb, sidewalk, guide rail, pavement markings and signage installation; and other miscellaneous construction.
Drivers can expect to experience short stoppages in work zones. Flaggers will be used to control traffic, and drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
The work being performed will begin on Brandt School Road between West Ingomar Road and Corporate Drive with crews working between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Starting at a later date that has yet to be finalized, crews will be performing work between Corporate Drive and Wexford Bayne Road at night – between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday-Saturday. The day and night work might overlap.
Public Works will announce the exact start date for the night work closer when it is expected to begin. That information will be provided to the public via a press release, Facebook, Twitter, and Allegheny Alerts.
The $4.3 million project is being done by A. Folino Construction, Inc., of Oakmont.
