PennDOT District 11 is announcing utility designation work on Route 2108 (Forbes Avenue/Beeler Street/Wilkins Avenue) and Route 380 (North Dallas Avenue) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will begin Thursday, April 27 weather permitting.

Utility designation and survey work will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through mid-June in the following locations: 

  • Route 2108 from the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Beeler Street to Wightman Street (at Wilkins Avenue)
  • Route 380 between Thomas Boulevard and McPherson Boulevard

Lane restrictions will occur and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone as needed. Please use caution in the area.

No work will occur on Friday, May 26 and Monday, May 29.

Crews from JMT, Inc., Red Swing Group, Monaloh Basin Engineers, and All Ways Safe will conduct the work.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
