The Department of Public Works announced today that slope stabilization work on McClaren Road in Moon Township will start at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. The work includes construction of a retaining wall, repairs to another wall, shoulder reconstruction, installation of drainage structures and curb, as well as replacement of pavement, guide rail, and pavement markings. The road has been closed between Sabre Road and Resurrection Road since June 18, 2018 due to a landslide, and it is expected to reopen in May 2023.
Until the end of the project, westbound traffic will continue to be detoured using Resurrection Road and I-376 westbound, and eastbound traffic will be continue to be detoured using I-376 eastbound, Ewing Road, and Resurrection Road.
The $563,181 project will be done by Golden Triangle Construction of Imperial.
