PennDOT District 11 is announcing replacement work on the Lincoln Way Bridge (Route 2031) over Long Run in White Oak Borough, Allegheny County will begin Monday, July 15 weather permitting.

A full closure of the bridge carrying Lincoln Way over Long Run between Route 48 and Oakview Street will begin at approximately 5 a.m. Monday morning and continue through August 5th for replacement work. Traffic will be detoured via Lincoln Way, Route 30, and Route 48.

Access will be maintained to Oak Park Mall and White Oak Storage from Route 48.

The project is part of a two-bridge contract valued at $6.24 million. The new bridge will be widened several feet to accommodate the lengthening of turning lanes across the structure. Additional improvements include full depth pavement reconstruction, traffic signal updates, and guide rail and drainage upgrades. A 21-day full closure of the bridge will occur in the summer of 2024 and will be coordinated with the structure replacement on Route 48. Additionally, motorists will encounter off-peak single-lane closures throughout the project which is expected to end in the spring of 2025.

Crews from Allison Park Contractors will conduct the work.
