The Department of Public Works announced today that Baldwin Street in Bridgeville will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025. The closure, which is expected to end in November, is required for sediment removal, concrete repairs, and other miscellaneous work at McLaughlin Run Bridge No. 6.

Traffic will be detoured using McLaughlin Run Road, Bower Hill Road, Railroad Street.

Residents who live on Baldwin Street will have access to their homes at all times.

Pugliano Construction Company of Plum is the prime construction contractor for the $198,369 project.

McLaughlin Run Bridge No. 6 is used by an average of 3,155 vehicles daily. It has a condition rating of 5 (fair condition) on a 0-9 scale based on National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) established by the Federal Highway Administration.
