The Department of Public Works announced today that work on Wall Avenue in North Versailles, Wall, and Wilmerding has been completed, and the required periodic lane closures have ended. The traffic restrictions, which began on March 4, were required for milling and paving, base repairs, drainage improvements, shoulder work, and guide rail replacement.
Wall Avenue is used by an average of 2,901 drivers daily.
The project was done by A. Folino Construction, Inc., of Oakmont as part of a $5.9 million contract that includes work on eight other roads.
Please note that Public Works permitted the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County to repair a water line on the 300 block of Wall Avenue earlier this month, and that work remains ongoing.
