What started as one of the first Transportation Management Associations in Western Pennsylvania has grown into a multifaceted organization whose mission remains steadfast – improve air quality and reduce congestion through innovative transportation solutions and responsible economic development. ACTA has remained unafraid to evolve and expand its identity in Pittsburgh’s Airport Corridor and continues to change to provide affordable transportation solutions to the public. As a small organization in the non-profit sector, it is essential for our survival to be able to adapt to current economic climates and area trends.
This year showed progress and promise. RideACTA’s ridership increased 9% over last year as we continue to add locations within our service area. On average, we delivered passengers to 105 local businesses each month and saw our weekly ridership average grow substantially while individuals from all over Allegheny County work, visit and seek job opportunities in the Airport Corridor. RideACTA provided 27,442 rides between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025. This equates to 933,028 vehicle miles saved, 37,741 gallons of gas saved, 13,721 less vehicles on the road, and 367 tons of CO2 emissions eliminated. New partnerships have been formed with local businesses who value creative transportation solutions and employee retention. Targeted marketing strategies helped bring a new awareness of ACTA and RideACTA which directly correlated to increased ridership. Embracing change has given us the unique ability to think creatively and produce solutions across the transportation network. We look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.
ACTA would also like to recognize our funders for their conviction in and allowing us to continue our work. A special thank you to PennDOT, Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission, Allegheny County, Findlay Township, Moon Township, North Fayette Township and Robinson Township. And to our members, your continued support of ACTA and its mission is greatly appreciated.
