PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane and ramp closures on eastbound I-376 (Parkway East) in Churchill Borough and the Municipalities of Monroeville and Penn Hills, Allegheny County, will occur Thursday night through Sunday morning, June 19-22 weather permitting.
Milling and paving operations this weekend on I-376 will require several restrictions according to the following schedule:
Complete closure of the Rodi Road on-ramp to eastbound I-376 from 9 p.m. Thursday night until 5 a.m. Friday morning and again, 9 p.m. Friday night continuously through 5 a.m. Sunday morning
Complete closure of the eastbound I-376 ramp to Penn Hills/Rodi Road (Exit 81) from 9 p.m. Thursday night until 5 a.m. Friday morning and again, 9 p.m. Friday night continuously through 5 a.m. Sunday morning
A single-lane closure on eastbound I-376 between the Monroeville/Business Route 22 (Exit 80) exit and approximate a mile east of the Penn Hills/Rodi Road (Exit 81) from 9 p.m. Friday night continuously through 5 a.m. Sunday morning
The ramp closures will not occur simultaneously, however while closed, traffic will be detoured.

Rodi Road ramp to Eastbound I-376
· From Rodi Road, turn right onto Business Route 22 (William Penn Highway)
· Turn left onto Beulah Road
· Turn left onto Churchill Road
· Turn left onto the ramp to eastbound I-376/Business Route 22
· End detour
Eastbound I-376 ramp to Penn Hills/Rodi Road (Exit 81)
· Continue on eastbound I-376
· Take the Plum (Exit 84B) exit
· Turn right onto Haymaker Road
· Take the ramp to westbound I-376/Business Route 22
· Take the ramp to Penn Hills/northbound Route 791
· End detour
Additionally, milling and paving work requiring shoulder and lane restrictions with flagging operations will occur on Rodi Road in each direction between Maple Lane and Business Route 22 (William Penn Highway), from Friday night 9 pm continuously through Sunday 5 a.m.
This work is part of the $70.1 million I-376 Parkway East Betterment Project. Work will include a superstructure replacement over Old William Penn Highway, two bridge rehabilitations over Old William Penn Highway/Lougeay Road/Sunset Drive and Thompson Run Road/Thompson Run/Union Railroad, and six bridge preservations along the I-376. Throughout the project motorists can expect long-term single-lane restrictions, several weekends with traffic down to a single lane, and a long-term crossover in 2025. The improvements on the 4.5 miles of the Parkway East between the Churchill/Route 130 (Exit 79B) and Monroeville/Route 48 (Exit 84A) exit are anticipated to conclude in the fall 2026. Swank Construction Company, LLC is the prime contractor.
