PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions in the Fort Pitt Tunnel (I-376) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will begin Monday night, March 31 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will occur in the Fort Pitt Tunnel nightly from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. through Wednesday, April 2. PennDOT crews will conduct flushing work within the tunnel according to the following schedule:

  • Monday night, March 31 – Inbound (eastbound)
  • Tuesday night, April 1 – Outbound (westbound)
  • Wednesday night, April 2 – Outbound (westbound)

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
