PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection activities on the ramps at  I-579 and Route 28 in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Monday and Tuesday, September 23-24 weather permitting.

Ramp inspection work requiring lane narrowing and traffic shifts will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day according to the following schedule:

  • Monday, September 23 – Southbound Route 28 ramp to the I-579 Veterans Bridge
  • Tuesday, September 24 – Northbound I-579 Veterans Bridge ramp to northbound Route 28. Additionally, a right lane and shoulder closure prior to the ramp will occur on I-579.

Please use caution while traveling through the area.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
