The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing single-lane restrictions on Interstate 79 in Robinson and Kennedy townships, Allegheny County will occur Friday night, October 10 weather permitting.
Single-lane restrictions with a traffic shift will occur on I-79 in both directions from 7:00 PM Friday night through 11:00 AM Saturday morning, October 11 to allow crews to conduct bridge seal replacement work in the following locations:
Northbound I-79
- Work will occur on the structure carrying northbound I-79 traffic over Route 60 Moon Run/Crafton (Exit 60)
Southbound I-79
- Work will occur on the structure carrying southbound I-79 traffic over Campbells Run Road, just south of the I-376 West/Airport/Beaver (Exit 59B) off-ramp

Work on this $14.97 million highway restoration project in Robinson and Kennedy townships began in April 2024. The project begins at the I-376 Airport/Pittsburgh (Exit 59 A/B) interchange and continues approximately one-half mile north of the Route 60 Moon Run/Crafton (Exit 60 A/B) interchange. Work included bridge preservation work on six structures and signs, culvert repair work, as well as concrete pavement patching, guide rail and cable barrier replacement, highway lighting and signing updates, drainage work, pavement markings and other miscellaneous construction activities on mainline I-79 including ten ramps.
The prime contractor is Golden Triangle Construction Company, Inc.
