This $50.77 million rehabilitation project includes full painting, concrete repairs to barrier, sidewalks, and substructure units, bearing replacement, steel repairs, deck joint replacement, and a latex modified concrete deck overlay. The McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge is a nine-span, two-lane bridge carrying Route 2114 over the Monongahela River, northbound Route 837, Norfolk Southern, CSX, and Union railroad tracks, and the Great Allegheny Passage. Additional work includes approach slab work, sign structure replacement, fence improvements, lighting upgrades, and other miscellaneous repairs. Long-term closures with detours, lane restrictions, and traffic shifts will occur throughout the project which is expected to conclude in late 2028.
