PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on northbound I-279 (Parkway North) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27 weather permitting.

A single-lane restriction will occur on northbound I-279 between Chestnut Street/East Ohio Street/Etna (Exit 1D) off-ramp and the East Ohio Street overpass from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day for bridge inspection activities.

Additionally, traffic will be shifted and the lane will be narrowed on the ramp from southbound Route 28 to southbound I-279 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Crews from HDR, Inc. and the Swank Construction Company will conduct the inspection work.

Please use caution if traveling in the area.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
