PennDOT District 11 is announcing the closure of the ramp from northbound Route 51 to northbound Route 837 (State Steet) in West Elizabeth Borough, Allegheny County, will occur Wednesday, April 16 weather permitting.
The ramp that carries northbound Route 51 traffic from the Elizabeth Bridge to northbound Route 837 will close to traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday to allow crews to conduct inspection activities. Ramp traffic will be detoured.
Posted Detour
· From northbound Route 51, continue past the closed ramp
· Take the left-hand ramp to South 51 toward Elizabeth
· Merge onto Route 51 southbound
· Take the left-hand ramp to North 837 toward Clairton
· End detour
Additionally, single-lane restrictions on Route 51 will occur in both directions at the northern end of the Elizabeth Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Crews from Consor North America, Inc. will conduct ramp inspection work.
