Lane restrictions needed for sign installations as part of the Mon/Fayette Expressway Project.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) wants to advise motorists that mobile, single lane closures will be taking place along State Route 51 (S.R. 51) in Jefferson Hills and West Mifflin Boroughs, Allegheny County beginning March 23.

The mobile single lane closures will happen both northbound and southbound between Lebanon Church Road and the Elizabeth Bridge allowing crews to install seven road signs throughout that area.

The lane closures will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes each and take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

This work will be finished by April 5, and the lane restrictions won’t occur every day during that two-week period.

This traffic impact is part of the Mon/Fayette Expressway PA Route 51 to I-376 Project. For more information about the project, please visit: PA Route 51 to I-376 of the Mon/Fayette Expressway
