Short-term closure of the roadway will occur
PennDOT District 11 is announcing emergency tree removal work on Allegheny River Boulevard (Route 130) in the City of Pittsburgh and the Municipality of Penn Hills, Allegheny County, will occur Saturday, April 5 weather permitting.
Tree removal work requiring the closure of Allegheny River Boulevard between Nadine Road and Washington Boulevard (Route 8) will occur from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Motorists should use Route 8 (Washington Boulevard), Route 380 (Bennett Street, Frankstown Road) and Route 130 (Coal Hollow Road, Sandy Creek Road) as the detour route.
The roadway closure will be lifted earlier if the tree removal work concludes before noon.
