PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane closures on the Route 136 (West Newton Road) bridge over Route 51 in Forward Township, Allegheny County, will begin Monday, December 16 weather permitting.

Single-lane alternating traffic will occur on the Route 136 bridge located between Rodney Lane and Vaira Lane around-the-clock beginning at 6:30 a.m. Monday continually through late December. Crews will conduct concrete repairs on the bridge.  

The prime contractor is Allison Park Contractors, Inc.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
