PennDOT District 11 is announcing a long-term crossover on Route 2040 (Lebanon Church Road) in West Mifflin and Pleasant Hills boroughs, Allegheny County will begin on Monday, April 28 weather permitting.
Beginning at approximately 9 a.m. on Monday, westbound traffic on Lebanon Church Road will be crossed over into the eastbound lanes between Ceco Drive and Route 51. A single-lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction in the eastbound lanes to allow crews to conduct waterline installation, drainage improvements, concrete road work, driveway adjustments, traffic signal foundation work, wall construction, and paving operations in the closed westbound lanes. This configuration will remain in place through early August.
This $28.16 million betterment project on Lebanon Church Road and Curry Hollow Road includes widening, milling and paving, concrete patching, drainage improvements, signal upgrades, and guide rail updates between Broughton Road in South Park Township and Ceco Drive in West Mifflin Borough. The project will occur in phases and require short-term and long-term lane closures, weekend lane restrictions, and a short-term ramp detour at the Route 51 interchange. The overall project is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2027.
Please use caution if traveling on this roadway. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
