PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection activities requiring lane restrictions on southbound Route 28 ramps in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Monday, October 7 weather permitting.

Inspection activities requiring lane shifts and shoulder closures will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday on the following ramps:

  • Southbound Route 28 to the Veterans Bridge (South I-579 to East I-376)
  • Southbound Route 28 to the Fort Pitt Bridge (South I-279 to West I-376)

Crews from Larson Design Group will conduct overhead inspection activities.

Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns. Please use caution when driving through the area.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
