PennDOT District 11 is announcing culvert replacement work on Mars Valencia Road (Route 4059) in Pine Township, Allegheny County will begin on Monday, April 7 weather permitting.

Culvert replacement work over Breakneck Creek will begin at approximately 8 a.m. Monday on Mars Valencia Road. To allow the replacement work to occur, the roadway will close to traffic at the culvert located between Babcock Boulevard and Camp Trees Road continuously through late June. Traffic will be detoured.

North of the Closure

  • From Mars Valencia Road, take Route 228 westbound
  • Turn left onto Warrendale Road (Route 3019)
  • Warrendale Road becomes Mars Road (Route 4069)
  • Turn left onto Warrendale Road (Route 4068)
  • Turn left onto Babcock Boulevard (Route 4031)
  • Follow Babcock Boulevard back to Mars Valencia Road
  • End detour

South of the Closure

  • Same detour in the opposite direction

PennDOT crews will conduct the work. Please use caution if traveling in the area.
