PennDOT District 11 is announcing replacement work on the Route 48 (Jacks Run Road) bridge over Long Run in White Oak Borough, Allegheny County will begin Monday, September 16 weather permitting.

A full closure of the bridge carrying Route 48 over Long Run between Lincoln Way and McClintock Road will begin at approximately 5 a.m. Monday morning and continue through Monday, October 7 for replacement work. Traffic will be detoured.

Posted Detour

North of the Bridge

  • From Route 48, take Route 30 westbound
  • Turn left onto Broad Street
  • Turn left on Foster Road
  • Foster Road becomes State Street
  • Turn left onto Lincoln Way
  • Follow Lincoln Way back to Route 48
  • End detour

South of the Bridge

  • Same detour in the opposite direction

McKee Road will be closed at the intersection with Route 48.

The project is part of a two-bridge contract valued at $6.24 million. Work includes the replacement of the single-span bridge, full-depth pavement reconstruction, and utility relocation on Route 48. The overall project will conclude in early 2025.

Crews from Allison Park Contractors will conduct the work.
