Route 50 Long-Term Single-Lane Restriction Extended
PennDOT District 11 is announcing single-lane restrictions on Washington Pike (Route 50) in Collier Township, Allegheny County will begin today, Thursday, December 5.
There will be single-lane restrictions, as needed, in both directions of Washington Pike between Winstein Street and Commercial Drive from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays through late spring 2025 to allow crews to continue to perform drainage upgrades, roadway widening, sidewalk work, and ADA curb ramp improvements. The sidewalk will remain closed, and pedestrians will utilize a temporary pedestrian pathway. There are directional detour signs along the route.
Additionally, the single-lane restriction on westbound Washington Pike (Route 50) between the I-79 interchange and Commercial Drive has been extended through late spring 2025.
