The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission CommuteInfo program is looking for individuals interested in helping to form vanpool groups serving Downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland. Joining a vanpool can help you save money, reduce wear and tear on your personal vehicle, and enjoy a more comfortable ride to work!

They’re looking for commuters who live in these origin areas or along these travel corridors, and share these end destinations. You don’t need to start at the exact locations listed – anyone who lives along one of these routes and travels to the same general area could be a good fit for a new vanpool group.

They’re currently seeking riders for the following routes:

  • Cranberry Township to Downtown/Oakland
  • Greensburg/Irwin area to Downtown/Oakland
  • Kittanning to Downtown/Oakland
  • Weirton, WV to Downtown/Oakland
  • Washington/Canonsburg area to Downtown/Oakland
  • Belle Vernon to Downtown/Oakland
  • Gibsonia to Downtown/Oakland

If you think any of these routes might align with your commute, they’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re ready to join a group, want to see how your schedule compares to others, or are simply curious about vanpooling, your interest helps move the process forward.

Feel free to reach out to Bill Whiteside at william.whiteside@em.com with any level of interest or questions.
