The Department of Public Works announced today that work on Simpson Howell Road in Elizabeth Township has been completed, and the required periodic lane closures have ended. The traffic restrictions, which began on April 23, were required for chip sealing, base repairs, and drainage improvements.

Simpson Howell Road is used by an average of 4,237 drivers daily.

The project was done by A. Folino Construction, Inc., of Oakmont as part of a $5.9 million contract that includes work on eight other roads.
