The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing inspection activities on the 62nd Street Bridge (Route 8) in the City of Pittsburgh, and Etna and Sharpsburg boroughs, Allegheny County, will begin Wednesday, October 7 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will occur on the 62nd Street Bridge in each direction from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each weekday through Tuesday, October 13 as crews from Michael Baker International conduct bridge inspection activities. No inspection work will occur on the bridge ramps.

Please stay alert and drive cautiously – safety is everyone’s responsibility.
