The Department of Public Works announced today that the county’s work on Browns Hill Road between Beechwood Boulevard/Hazelwood Avenue and the Homestead Grays Bridge in Pittsburgh and the associated periodic lane closures have ended. The lane closures, which began on August 18, 2025, were required for extensive concrete roadway and joint repairs, drainage improvements, curb replacement, and the installation of pavement markings.
- Folino Construction of Oakmont was the primary construction contractor for the project, which was part of a $6.3 million contract that included work on 10 other roads.
Please note that Pittsburgh Water implemented a lane closure on Browns Hill Road on March 9 as part of a Browns Hill Road Sewer Pump Station replacement project, which remains active. Public Works is not involved with that project.
Browns Hill Road is used by more than 40,000 drivers daily.
