The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing inspection activities on Interstate 279 (Parkway North) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will occur Tuesday and Wednesday, July 14-15 weather permitting.
Single-lane restrictions will occur in both directions of I-279 for bridge inspection activities of the structures over McKnight Road and Evergreen Avenue from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day according to the following schedule:
Tuesday, July 14
- Northbound I-279 will have single-lane restrictions between the McKnight Road/Evergreen Road (Exit 4) and the Perrysville Avenue (Exit 5) interchanges
Wednesday, July 15
- Southbound I-279 will have single-lane restrictions between the Perrysville Avenue (Exit 5) and the McKnight Road/Evergreen Road (Exit 4) interchanges
If northbound inspections are completed sooner, PennDOT inspection crews could impact southbound I-279 on Tuesday, July 14.
