Month-long closure needed for work related to the Mon/Fayette Expressway Project.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission wants to alert motorists in West Mifflin Borough, Allegheny County that New England Road will be reopening over the weekend allowing for the closure of Lower Camp Hollow Road (S.R. 2043) on Aug. 24.
Lower Camp Hollow Road will be closed in both directions between New England Road and Camden Hill Road. The entrance to US Steel Irvin Works will not be affected.
Detour signs will be in place utilizing Clairton Road (S.R. 885) and Lebanon Church Road (S.R. 2040).
The closure will last approximately one month with plans to reopen Sept. 22, weather permitting.
