More lane restrictions needed for sign structure work as part of the Mon/Fayette Expressway Project.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) wants to advise motorists that a portion of State Route 51 (S.R. 51) in Jefferson Hills Borough, Allegheny County will see lane shifts between Peters Creek Road and Jefferson Boulevard throughout March.
The right northbound turning lane to Jefferson Boulevard will shift to the travel lane in front of Huntington Bank then back to the turning lane prior to Jefferson Boulevard. This will allow traffic to turn onto Jefferson Boulevard while crews work on an overhead sign structure.
The work will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through March 27 but should not occur at the same time the southbound lanes are restricted in this area.
This traffic impact is part of the Mon/Fayette Expressway PA Route 51 to I-376 Project. For more information about the project, please visit: PA Route 51 to I-376 of the Mon/Fayette Expressway.
