Lane restrictions needed for sign installation as part of the Mon/Fayette Expressway Project.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) wants to advise motorists that over the next two weeks a single lane closure could be in place northbound along State Route 51 (S.R. 51) between the Peters Creek Road intersection and Jefferson Boulevard in Jefferson Hills Borough, Allegheny County.
Beginning July 27, crews will put the single-lane restriction in place while they erect an overhead sign structure. This will not occur every day, but the restriction will be in place while crews work on the sign structure over the two-week period.
Crews will be working between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday until August 7.
Drivers will still be able to make a right turn onto Jefferson Boulevard when the single lane restriction is in place.
This traffic impact is part of the Mon/Fayette Expressway PA Route 51 to I-376 Project. For more information about the project, please visit: PA Route 51 to I-376 of the Mon/Fayette Expressway.
