The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing drainage improvement work on Route 1001 (Freeport Road, East 7th Avenue, East 10th Avenue) in Tarentum and Brackenridge boroughs, and East Deer and Harrison township, Allegheny County will begin Monday, February 9 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will occur weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM between Bailies Run Road and Butler County. Crews will begin with drainage improvement work. Weekend work is permissible.  Additional details will be provided in advance of any weekend work.

The prime contractor is A. Liberoni, Inc. on this $7.78 million group paving project. Improvement work includes milling and paving, drainage upgrades, base repair, pavement marking installation, guide rail improvements, and other various construction related activities. Restriction times will vary throughout sections of the project. Additional information will be provided as the project progresses.
