Northbound Route 8 lane restriction to occur.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing slide repair work on Route 910 (Gibsonia Road) in Richland Township, Allegheny County will occur this weekend, Friday night, June 26 through Monday morning, June 29 weather permitting.
Slope stabilization and base repair work requiring a full closure and detour of Route 910 between Middle Road and Community Center Drive will begin at 7:00 PM Friday night. The road will close to traffic around-the-clock through 5:00 AM Monday morning. This is the second of six planned weekend closures for the roadway improvement work.

West of the Closure
- From Route 910, take Route 8 southbound
- Turn left onto Wildwood Road Extension
- Turn left onto Middle Road
- Follow Middle Road back to Route 910
- End detour
East of the Closure
- Same detour in the opposite direction
To accommodate the above work, northbound Route 8 will have a right-hand lane restriction, as needed, at the intersection with Route 910.
Additional details will be provided in advance of the next weekend closure.
The prime contractor is A. Folino Construction on this $10.4 million group paving project.
