The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing ramp closures at the Lebanon Church Road (Route 2040) interchange with Route 51 in Pleasant Hills Borough, Allegheny County will occur Tuesday through Thursday, April 28-30 weather permitting.
The following ramps will close and traffic will be detoured for waterline installation work:
- Eastbound Lebanon Church Road to northbound Route 51 – Closures will occur from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday
- Northbound Route 51 to eastbound Lebanon Church Road – Closures will occur from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday and Thursday

- Continue eastbound on Lebanon Church Road past the closed ramp
- Turn left onto Delwar Road (Route 2047)
- Turn left onto Streets Run Road (Route 2046)
- Follow Streets Run Road to Route 51
- End detour
Northbound Route 51 to eastbound Lebanon Church Road
- Continue northbound on Route 51 past the closed ramp
- Take the ramp to Curry Hollow Road toward South Park
- From westbound Curry Hollow Road, take the ramp to southbound Route 51 toward Clairton
- From southbound Route 51, take the ramp to Lebanon Church Road toward McKeesport/West Mifflin
- End detour
Work on this $28.16 million betterment project includes widening, milling and paving, concrete patching, drainage improvements, signal upgrades, and guide rail updates will occur between Broughton Road in South Park Township and Ceco Drive in West Mifflin Borough. The project will occur in phases and require short-term and long-term lane closures, weekend lane restrictions, and a short-term ramp detour at the Route 51 interchange. The overall project is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2027.
